Ewan MacPherson

 
 

Ewan is a singer/songwriter, instrumentalist and music producer.

He has a wide range of experience as a performer and in the studio.


From early beginnings in Wales and Liverpool with Heavy Metal Bands and African Township Jive acts, through dance clubs and electronica to the present day as a founder member of three bands, working with a wide range of traditional and contemporary folk/roots artists.


He also has an interest in recording and music production with a project studio at his home in Stirlingshire, Scotland.


After graduating with a B.A from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (Paul McCartney’s “Fame School”) Ewan moved to Edinburgh to meet the Scottish musicians who were inspiring him.


12 years later he has established himself as a versatile musician and is much in demand as guitar player for singers and mandolin/banjo  instrumentalist for some of the top tunes bands on the scene.


Ewan’s music has taken him as far as Australia, India, Canada, America and throughout Europe, in addition to his own projects: Salt House, Fribo and RoughCoastAudio he is a member of pioneering Acid Croft band Shooglenifty and has performed with many artists including:
